Axton

Axton is a new playable character in Borderlands 2, serving the role of the Commando class. He used to be a soldier in the Dahl corporation's military. However, his glory-seeking recklessness and constant disregard for orders earned him a scheduled execution. His wife and commanding officer, Sarah, "unofficially" suggested he escape to one of the border planets, where the military would be unlikely to follow. It seems he chose Pandora due to the likelihood that his skill set would come in handy on such a violent world. Sarah divorced Axton, returning her wedding ring to him before his departure, which he now wears on his necklace next to his dog tags. Despite being forced to leave his outfit (and his wife), Axton remains a gung-ho soldier. He fights his enemies and supports his teammates with equal enthusiasm.
