This is the first story content dlc for Borderlands 2 which was released on the 16th October 2012.
Gearbox's description follows ... "In Captain Scarlett and her Pirate's Booty, up to four players cooperatively enter the hostile sand dunes and wastelands of Pirate Bay in search of ancient treasures. "The add-on content campaign features new characters, including the eccentric and eager Shade; locations such as the town of Oasis; enemies including the Sand Pirates and Anchormen; and special weapons and loot that make it a must-play experience."
This is the first of four pieces of content included in the Borderlands 2 Season Pass.
As soon as you hit level 15 you can instantly fast travel to Oasis, the starting point for the Pirate’s Booty content. Doing so triggers a cinematic intro where you learn about a long-lost treasure and Captain Blade.
Above level 50 the enemies will be auto-levelled according to the level upon which you first travelled to the town of Oasis. (An exception to this is the Seraph Guardian bosses Master Gee The Invincible and Hyperious The Invincible who will be level 52)
Story[]
Legends speak of Captain Blade's Lost Treasure of the Sands, of a prize so great that men would turn the sands red in pursuit of it, of a pirate queen, courageous and deadly, who would stop at nothing to find it, of a monstrous Leviathan, of the Vault Hunters who journeyed to the desert town of Oasis, not knowing the horrors that would befall them.

Areas[]
Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty includes a number of new areas to explore. Oasis is the starting location and becomes available to players when the DLC is installed. Fast Travel is also available in all areas with the exception of the Lair of The Leviathan.
